YOUR GUIDE TO THE ULTIMATE BOUDOIR PHOTOSHOOT!

Here's the thing... there's no one universal guide to your boudoir shoot because your session will be customized to you and your photographer (Uhm, so...me!). There are, however, some common questions and checklist items that I can give you to help make you feel ready and excited for your session!

1. SELF CARE

When I say self-care, I am meaning internal! Important things like hydrating all the way up to your session is crucial, your skin will thank you later for it. Eating at least a light meal on the day is also important, fainting is definitely not part of your experience with me!

Internal self-care also covers the mind which is an important aspect of your shoot. If you are anxious, sit with those nerves - Ask yourself, why are you doing the shoot? Perspective is everything! If you enter the session with negative connotations about yourself, no matter how bomb we make you look together, this will affect how you see yourself in the final products.

2. YOUR OUTFIT

One of the best ways to feel confident in your session is to be prepared. Start having a think about what you want to be wearing a couple of weeks before your session. I do provide my lovely ladies with access to the client closet within all my packages but I always recommend bringing at least one outfit that makes you feel like an absolute stunner!

Another huge tip is to try on your outfit before the shoot! It will eliminate any worry about what your outfit will look like and gives you a chance to make any last-minute changes.

3. PAMPER YOURSELF

A boudoir photoshoot is about a lot more than the shoot itself! It's to celebrate YOU! Take the time before your session to relax and pamper yourself in whatever way that looks to you. A good beauty ritual will make all the difference in how you feel on the day.

4. MAKEUP AND HAIR

I work closely alongside a few HMUA's for my sessions which are always an optional add on. There's something so luxurious about sitting there and getting your hair and makeup professionally done especially for us that aren't living the Kardashian-esque life. Although doing yourself up is not unheard of, especially with an ever-increasing online database of self glamorizing tutorials! Whatever you decide, a little bit of effort into your look will add that extra sparkle to your images!

5. DON'T STRESS IT!

It's so easy to get caught up in all the fine details of your experience but enjoying the time in front of the lens is what's most important! So let's not overthink it! Strip off, get comfortable, and let's make some beautiful imagery together.
